In 2004, Frank Bothwell and his wife, Emma Bothwell,  established the contract catering company, with a difference.

Food & Nutrition

Food is at the heart of what we do.

TF Malta works with the tastiest produce available and has created strong relationships with its carefully chosen local family-owned suppliers. We value the simplicity of great Maltese ingredients such as stunning fish and seafood, juicy fruit and vibrant vegetables thanks to the Mediterranean weather and Maltese terrain, and fresh reared meats. Our locations often agree to having artisan bread baked in house from scratch daily along with receiving specialised items from the likes of Maypole Bakery.

We hand-pick local, family-owned regional suppliers to bring us the best of each season’s produce. It is important to us to support the communities in which we operate and to reduce our carbon footprint and food miles.

How we’ve grown

Our story

We began developing our Maltese business when one of our clients, Kindred, asked us to develop a catering proposition for their state-of-the-art office in Tigné Point in June 2018.  We now serve 1,000 meals a day keeping the team energised and satisfied for their busy day. It’s a 24-hour operation, 7 days a week offering breakfast, lunch and supper services featuring local and international flavours so all their support staff can benefit. 

We also cater for all their hospitality services including industry-leading events i-gaming events. 

The emphasis is on health and well-being, so all the food is freshly made using high quality local ingredients. There is a substantial artisan salad bar as well as many fish and seafood menu options.  The counters also feature a seasonal fresh soup complemented by Maltese bread, and a chef’s special and a range of cold puddings and freshly cut fruit.  All day hot and cold beverages are on offer, as well as freshly squeezed orange juice.

We deliver an exceptionally high standard of freshly made, delicious food, sourced from local and regional suppliers, and cooked by well-trained chefs. We offer a flexible, bespoke approach which matches and complements the aspirations of our clients. 

Over the years we have stayed true to our original vision for the company: we are a legacy business, family owned. Thomas Franks has always been, and will always be, about family – ours and the ‘families’ of our partners and our people.
