Planet Mark Accreditation

Thomas Franks has  been certified by Planet Mark for a second year running in recognition of our carbon reduction plans. Since our first year of measurement at the end of 2023, we have managed to reduce our absolute scope 1 & 2 operational carbon (Head Office and CPU energy, electricity, business fleet travel) by 9.1% (4.1% more than the 5% we have targeted each year). 

Much of this work relates to the work we have been doing across the business to reduce our business travel and our transport wherever possible. In the coming months, we will be continuing to measure the extended emissions from our supply chain with the help of our Purchasing Team and will set clear decarbonisation targets to bring us in line with industry best practice.

Later this year we will also have a new offering from Planet Mark (Planet Mark Lite) – a portal that we can offer to our locations and suppliers to track their entire carbon footprint.
