Melanie Mort joined us in 2018 and has recently risen to Group Director of Purchasing. She champions our commitment to supporting small, local, family-owned suppliers ensuring the freshest produce for our clients. Melanie joins other great women on the board of Thomas Franks, including our Group Director of Nutrition and Wellbeing, Christine, Chief Financial Officer, Lorraine, Group Business Development Director, Claire, Founding Director, Emma, and our Group Director of People, Vicky.
Mary Ann, our Head of Culinary Apprenticeships, Chef Development and Charity, started in 2012 as Chef Manager and has grown into her current role, nurturing the next generation of TF talent. Her journey reflects our belief in nurturing talent from within and empowering women to excel in their careers. Over half of our current Apprenticeships cohort is female.
Annie, Chef Manager at Durham High School, embodies leadership, taking her team from strength to strength. Her commitment to excellence and her ability to foster a collaborative environment have propelled her team to new heights. Her team is predominantly female, a testament to Annie’s ability to empower and uplift her colleagues.
