Those who have been through Shiplake will recognise this smile, yet for those that don’t, meet Ruby!
Ruby is currently a Supervisor at Shiplake College, our longest-standing school contract. Ruby is no stranger to the Thomas Franks family, having joined the company and Shiplake, 12 years ago in July, hired by none other than Lord B himself (Steve Beaumont, Hospitality and Events Director). Ruby began as a General Assistant, helping with weddings and functions at Shiplake. Steve likes to say that he helped Ruby realise her potential, however, it’s clear that Ruby’s outgoing nature and fun attitude are infectious to be around and helped her be the person she is today. Ruby is known to all at the school, whether it’s staff or pupils, and after watching her interact with everyone you can see how well she is received and admired within the community.
Having been at the school through the Covid pandemic, Ruby was later in charge of the sixth-form café, which helped her learn to manage her own space effectively especially dealing with the mad rushes throughout the day!
Speaking to Ruby about her plans for the future, she is thoroughly family-oriented, with goals to be a home-owner with her partner and daughter whilst also treating them all to a nice holiday. Sounds lovely if you ask us, to which I’m sure you’ll join us in wishing her luck for the future and her current plans!
