The Client

Prodrive, a British motorsport and advanced engineering group headquartered in Banbury, Oxfordshire.

The Challenge

Prodrive sought to enhance its catering services after experiencing dissatisfaction with its previous provider. They aimed for a comprehensive refresh of menus and improvements in the overall dining experience for their staff.

OUR APPROACH

We proposed a complete overhaul of the menus and introduced subtle yet impactful updates to the aesthetics of the staff restaurant. Our goal was to provide a diverse array of light, nutritious meals, along with indulgent treats and snacks, while ensuring sustainability and reducing waste.

RESULTS

The refreshed catering offer at Prodrive features an enticing mix of breakfast options, including daily specials and the popular “Full English Fridays.” The breakfast spread includes a yoghurt bar, pastries, cakes, and grab-and-go items. The introduction of themed breakfast specials and traditional favourites has significantly boosted morale and encouraged staff attendance.

For lunch, Prodrive offers two hot mains, always including a vegetarian option, along with paninis, filled baguettes, and grab-and-go boxes. The vibrant salad bar offers healthy accompaniments, while weekly theme days keep the lunch offerings exciting and varied. To minimise waste, all packaging is eco-friendly, and coffee grounds are offered to staff for gardening purposes.

The partnership between Thomas Franks and Prodrive extends beyond catering, with collaborative efforts on charity projects, including delivering much-needed supplies to Ukraine. This collaborative approach underscores the shared values and commitment to making a positive impact both within and outside the organisation.
